When Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp. launched its MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet) in 2001, its primary aim was to garner a share of the market now dominated by Embraer, and to a lesser extent Canada’s Bombardier. The effort has been one of the more arduous aircraft development programs in recent years. After a series of delays, first flight is set for the week of Nov. 9.
